Describe what you think a typical work day is like at this site.
I think that the office is busiest at morning and at night. This is because those are the times when live news casts are happening. I’d imagine that during these times, everyine in the building has to be really quiet. The rest of the day, people are probably working on stories and playing shows on the same channel.
What do you think the business's general work policies are (tardiness, absence, etc.)?
I think that higher positions, like director and producer, have more freedom and can have more abenses. Tardiness by reporters is probably taken really seriously because they need to be on time for their live show.
Describe what you think the dress code will be like at this site.
I think that editiors and other people behind the scenes can come to work dressed pretty casually. The reporters and anchors need to come to work dressed professionally.
In what ways do you expect your high school classes and the skills you have learned to apply to this profession?

Please write a reflection which describes what you are expecting for Career Day. What kind of tasks or activities do you expect to see people doing? In other words, what do you expect the professional world to be like?
In this career day, I eexpect people to be working hard and collobaorating with each other. They only have a limited amount of time to get their job done, so I imagine that it can get stressful at times. I expect the news anchors and reporters to be talking with the writers while they are not reporting. I’d expect that they have to practice their lines ahead of time. I think that the people who handle management of the buisness would be in a seperate area than the people working on the broadcast. The editors probably all work together in one area, and the writer in another, and the reporters in another. I expect the professional world to be kind of like school before exhibtion, only worse because money is involved.
