What do immigrant populations look like in Latin America?
Many Latin Americans immigrate from one country to another to achieve a higher education, for example. Some Latin American nations are more developed than others. Brazil and Argentina have the largest numbers of immigrants in Latin America. These immigrants often migrate illegally.
What do language barriers look like in Latin America?
In many Latin American countries, European languages such as Spanish and Portuguese are official due to past colonization. However, native languages are also spoken by many people. For example, in Mexico, Zapotec and Nauahtl are spoken by millions of people. Some Mexican children speak Zapotec with their families and home and Spanish in school, much like how many Americans speak Spanish at home and English in school.
What was your map like before you worked with others?
The only countries that I knew for sure were Chile, Brazil, and Mexico. I got confused with the countries in the Caribbean. That's pretty much all I had written down.
